Lahir tahun 1940 di Utah , Amerika Serikat, Becky, panggilan akrab Rebecca Winters, telah menghasilkan lebih dari 100 novel romansa. Ia pun telah mendapat penghargaan National Readers’ Choice Award dan the Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award, selain telah ditahbiskan sebagai Utah Writer of the Year.

Dengan latar belakang ayah seorang dokter serta pendidikan asrama di Swiss sebelum mendapatkan gelar sarjana pendidikan bahasa, ia mampu merangkai cerita romansa dengan later belakang ras dan gen manusia dengan lincah. Ia membuat detail karakter-karakter dengan nama keluarga, tempat dan tahun kelahiran lengkap dengan kejadian semasa kecil, hingga pengaruh pekerjaan dan keluarga dalam bertindak di masa sekarang yang sangat membumi.

Sedang menyiapkan lima putuh tahun ia berkarya di dunia fiksi romansa, ia kini tinggal di Utah dengan keempat anaknya.
